Over the years, I have directed various multimedia and experimental theater projects. I was the Artistic Director of Doorika (1990-1999); a  loose collective of writers, artists and actors that created multi-layered performance work in Chicago and New York. The works played heavily on 20th century modern literature and pop culture and were performed at festivals and venues in Chicago, New Orleans and New York City.  Some of the artists I have collaborated with over the years include: Casey SpoonerMichael Merino, Scott Fulmer, Scott LeutholdLizzy Yoder, Kelly KuvoAndrea Polli, Eric Koziol, Bobby Conn, Gary Wilmes, Mot Filipowski, Lisa Perry, Doug Huston, Amy Kerwin, Tamara Wasserman, Amy Galper, Marianne Potje, Peter Redgrave, Ken Weaver, Heather Priest, Sally Alatalo, Doug Huston, Ford Wright, Jon Langford, Celia Bucci, Ken Kobland, Deborah Shirley, Ellen LeCompte, Jim Strahs, Pat Healy, Nick Offerman, Kate Walsh, Magica Bottari, Jeremiah Clancy, Brynn Manus, among others. Since 1999, I have been focused on video and filmmaking.  


My video and film work has screened at festivals, galleries and museums in the US and abroad such as World Wide Video Festival at Amsterdam's Stedelijk Museum, Cinemateket in Copenhagen, ASUAM, NY Video Festival at Lincoln Center, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Exploding Cinema, Portobello Film Festival, Anthology Film Archives, IFP Buzzcuts, LA Freewaves, Dallas Video Festival, Cucalorus, Moviate, Transmediale, Netherlands Impakt Festival, Kult-Pumch in St. Petersburg Museum, Russia among others. My conceptual documentary project In Search of Bas Jan's Miraculous (1997, 39 min. montage) was featured on NPR's This American Life.  In 2005, I was the recipient of a NYSCA Media Grant for my feature project Pose Down. Currently, I have a feature film script in development and producing a new short web series for fall release 2013.
